I wonder if it would have mattered if he landed on gras rwy.
Less damage to the flaps, underbelly and maybe for an eventual fire.
I hope it's not the end for this Bonanza.

I don't think so, if you belly land on grass you don't know where you'll end up (worst case overturned...)

A Bonanza is quite a sturdy airplane, I've seen it closer today. Off course the belly is scratched, but after replacing the flaps and shockloading the engine it will fly again thumbsup
